The Velvet Touch

Kate and I seem to have spent the whole of February and a small fortune in Velvet...(Well someone has to boost the economy!)

The first visit was dinner a deux for a lovely meal on our own during which we indulged in one of the speciality chocolate desserts - yummy -Velvet is always good for couples and small groups of friends. We were delighted to have Diana join us later for coffee/ wine and then Astrid and Sandra came in (must have been someting in the air)... although we were too early for Valentines Day!

The second visit was with Karen from Scotland including 2 visits to the bar above which was great as it was so cold out that we didn't have to step foot outside until home time. On this visit the very camp French waiter tipped us off about a 50% off offer that was available so we took advantage of this at our next visit which was organised by Lisa in honour of her lovely sister visiting and a lovely time was had by all. Unfortunately we had to head home early after the meal as poor Kate was fighting off a cold.

However we were delighted to repeat the experience yet again this week and welcomed some newer girls as well as catching up with old favourites and this time we were able to make up for lost social interactions heading on to Northern Concord and then Naps where we had a great time with Emma and Mandy until very late (finally made it to bed at 3am!) So today we were both very tired but happy - I think a few Early nights will be required as a girl needs her beauty sleep!
