Gun hey fat choi ! .......(Haven't got a clue how to spell it correctly - but that seems to be the phonetic way of saying happy new year in Chinese). Kate and I had a lovely Chinese meal at the Yang Sing in Manchester with our friends from Teelas. After the meal most of the group headed off to various bars and clubs but we decided to chill out with a coffee and despite sitting in the middle of the busy restaurant full of Joe public we felt very comfortable. Our fortune cookies were very appropriate and could have applied to either of us - mine read "courage is the master of fear" and Kates read "Stop searching forever happiness is just next to you".
I believe this year is the year of the Ox which brings calm, fortitude and success through toil - quite appropriate in this year of credit crunch I think. Happy New Year to you all - Live well and prosper - love from Mrs K xxx
